I'm Jessica Fuller — a trauma therapist in New Bern, North Carolina. I work with adults who are capable, functional, and quietly carrying things that never got processed. My job isn't to teach you more coping skills. It's to help your brain finally finish what it started.
Here's what I believe: your brain is built to heal. When something overwhelming happens, the memory can get stored raw — with all its original emotion, body sensation, and beliefs still attached. That's why a smell, a tone of voice, or a random Tuesday can drop you right back into something that happened years ago.
EMDR and Brainspotting work because they give your brain the conditions it needs to reprocess those memories properly. My role is to keep you grounded, keep you within what your nervous system can handle, and follow the work where it needs to go. You bring the willingness; your brain does the healing.
Sessions with me are direct, warm, and honest. I'll never pretend the work is easy, and I'll never waste the time you're paying for.
You don't have to be "doing well" to sit in my office, and you don't have to fall apart to prove you need help. Come as you are.
The goal is for you to need me less, not more. We work toward something, we measure it, and when you're done — you're done.
I'll tell you the truth about the work, the timeline, and what I see — kindly, but without the fluff. You deserve a therapist who's straight with you.
